"Черные мусульмане"Воинствующая шовинистическая религиозная организация афро-американцев, особая активность которой отмечалась в крупных городах США в 60-70 гг. XX в. Основана в 1930 "пророком" Вали Фарадом [Wali "Prophet" Farad], который создал первый "храм ислама" в г. Детройте, шт. Мичиган, проповедовал отказ от расовой интеграции, физический труд и чистоту, и предсказывал, что в грядущем Армагеддоне черные уничтожат белых. В 1934 лидером движения стал И. Мухаммад [ Muhammad, Elijah]. Под его руководством черные мусульмане заявили о расовом превосходстве негров [black supremacy] и потребовали создания негритянского государства на территории США. Организация издавала газету "Говорит Мухаммад" ["Muhammad Speaks"]. С деятельностью этой организации и ее лидеров связаны расовые беспорядки и акты насилия. После смерти И. Мухаммада в 1975 популярность организации пошла на убыль. Ее возглавил его сын У. Д. Мухаммад [Muhammad, Wallace Dean], призвавший своих сподвижников к отказу от расизма и следованию истинно исламским принципам под названием "Американская мусульманская миссия" [American Muslim Mission]. Часть "мусульман", придерживающихся расистских взглядов, во главе с Л.
